Tangled Dreaming (Sleepy Hollow, New York)

This painting is of an actual late afternoon landscape at the edges of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in New York. The title was inspired from the opening lines of Washington Irving's short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: "A pleasing land of drowsy head it was, Of dreams that wave before the half-shut eye."
